ANERT has set up a Model Residential Polytechnic to develop adequate human resources in the area of renewal energy.  The polytechnic is situated at Kuzhalmannam, Palakkad. Currently it is function in temporary facilities. The construction of buildings for the polytechnic is in progress.

The institution is also supported by the Department of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development, Government of Kerala. The polytechnic functions as a joint venture with IHRD Kerala.
